I find the low/high beam stalk on my V40 a bit tricky to use at times.
Does not feel as precise as any of my previous vehicles.(non Volvo's)

If you pull the stalk towards yourself to quickly it merely flashes the high beam and returns to straight back to low beam.
To stay on high you need a slightly slower and definative pull towards yourself which then activates the high beam correctly.
Same in reverse going from high to low.

Especially annoying at night when one has to dip very promptly on open road and an approaching vehicle appears short notice around a bend.
Thats when one tends to flick the stalk too quickly.

 

Thanks for the reply, I haven't done any night driving in it yet, so I'll give it a go ASAP. It's a strange one, maybe I'm just being over keen.
