Hi... just purchased a 2003 diesel s40, bu towner masnual is missing. Is there anywhere online I could access the information within? Also, do these models have a timing belt or a chain?

Mike, good choice of car!

Owner's manual should be available via your local Volvo dealer. They sometimes come up on ebay.

Do you have the service book for the car? I'm not familiar with the diesel engine in the S40, but the service book should mention how often the cambelt (and tensioner) needs changing. If it doesn't then it must be a chain! My guess is belt though.
