Centre Console Removal

I have purchased a new sim card carrier in an attempt to get my on board telephone to work. Could anyone please give me a clue where to start removing the centre console in order to install the carrier (from behind) please? I would send for a workshop manual but the users handbook has already been many weeks on order and has not materialised so I will try without instructions. Thank you.

Remove the plate that goes around the shifter first. You do that by opening up the cup holder and put your fingers under the part that is closest to the hinge side in front of the cup holder and lift up the shifter plate. From there you can access the screws. I searched "www.dogpile" key works; How to remove the center console Volvo xc90 and got a couple good pictures. You will need a star type driver also. The rear pen holder (by the center storage arm rest) snaps out also, under it is two more screws. I don't know where the componet is that you are looking for. I put Sirius radio in my '08 and also moved my aux jack so the cup holder can be closed with the iPod still in it and had to remove my center console today.
