I have my 60,000 mile regular maintenance coming up for my 2002 S60. I'm wondering if you can give me a fair assessment of A. the work that a mechanic is likely to accomplish and B. a reasonable cost estimate so I can make sure I'm not getting ripped off.
I would like to know what is generally done but I have some details I can also provide that may make it clearer for what they will do to my car.
I had the tires replaced at around 50,000 miles. I had a fairly bad incident in the snow this past December which required my having to replace the transmission (cost around $5000)... I also had an engine pump leak that I repaired last August at a cost of $400ish.
I haven't been pleased with some of these uncommon expenses I have experiences with what are usually good quality cars. I think I have been unlucky bc my car has been in 3 starkly different climates in the past year (Pennsylvania, then Missippi, then Colorado).
Thanks in advance.
