Xc90 2005 Hid Bulb Failure - On And Off?

I own a 2005 XC90 T6 with the factory HID lights. I am now getting a Low Beam Failure from time to time on the dash and the front right bulb turns off. If I turn off and back on it works, and then a few minutes or days later it does it again. I see no lose wires or connection issues. When the bulb fails does it just stop or does it just slowly die>

Any ideas?

Generally that is the condition when the bulb is failing. The xeon gases is wearing down and the bulb can not stay excited. For your info it takes 1000 volts to excite the xeon and 100 volts to keep it lit so don't stick your fingers or a test light in the bulb socket to check it. The bulbs are pricey .. in CDN they are ~$259.00 each so don't be shocked (forgive the pun) if it's at least $180.00 USD. The bulb has to sit in the holder/transformer in a certain position or you won't get it to go back in straight so maybe have the dealer do it.
