if you were in colder climates I would suspect it was a connection for a block heater to stop the engine freezing, but I have never seen one like that before

First of all, hello. Just recently qualified for Volvo owners club with a 2010 V70 2.5 FT. Secondly I have this connector on the front bumper and the only thing I can think of is maybe for the battery but honestly I really don't know. Can anyone tell me please?
