Hey everyone! My friend hired locksmiths SW19 because he lost his car keys. Well, as far as I know, a regular locksmith can help those who get locked out of their vehicles. So does anyone here know what auto locksmiths do? What separates them from an ordinary locksmith? Any response would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, so I will tell you what and automotive locksmith actually can do. He works with car keys and locks. As a example if you key is broken, he can make you with easiness a new one. When you are locked out of your vehicle and want immediate assistance an automotive locksmith can come and get you out of the car. They can do transponder and programmed keys, remove keys from the ignition. In other words there a a lot of stuff they can do. I recommend to look on Locksmith work with quality, for a proper explanation of what an locksmith and automotive locksmith can do. Logically and automotive one can do the same things as a simple one is able to do.

Hello, everyone can someone tell me roughly what the deal is regarding reprogramming keys on newer VAG cars? My understanding is, your average locksmith or average joe can't do it these days due to not being able to grab the SKC/pin with specific tools. I won't mention the names of the tools outright as I don't know if that's against the rules or not, but a few automotive locksmiths were telling me newer cars don't allow you to program keys yourself and/or program it with their tools, forcing you to do go directly to the dealer. Why is that an auto locksmith? Does it have anything to do with various sorts of thefts that happen outside of the United States? Or is it just so the dealerships aren't losing a way to make money?

Well, car locks are different from the ones u have on your entrance door, so they make car locks open :). Auto locksmiths specialize primarily in unlocking vehicles and replacing car keys. Except for unlocking cars, there are some other things car locksmiths can do. Quite an interesting vocation. As a matter of fact, I have a car locksmith friend who passed some courses at How to Become a Locksmith. Another thing he knows to do is duplicate lost keys, even electric ones.

An expert car locksmith have the expertise in handling car lock problems. They are qualified to do the job. They know what to do in different situations, whether the car key is broken and stuck in the lock, or the key is inside the car.
