I have a strange issue with my 2004 V70 D5 (very high mileage). When driving from cold, there is a fairly loud rubbery pinging noise at very low speeds coming from the front and it is directly linked to wheel rotation. At faster speeds, the noise goes and when the car is warmed up it goes completely. It sounds like a twisted gaiter twanging but I've checked those and can't see any mis-alignments. I've also checked the tyres. It started happening when I had some work done on a CV joint a while ago... the noise was very faint, but now we are in the colder weather, it sounds quite loud. Any ideas? Thanks.
