QUOTE (hberrada @ Oct 20 2004, 04:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I am from the London area. I think this question will go to anyone from the UK. ... I just bought a new S40 with the On-Call system. As i learned more and more about On-Call i became really amazed that such a thing existed and that i actually never heard of it before. And the service is free!!!! I think for two years... Maybe there is a catch somewhere and that might be the price . How much would I be paying for On-Call after the two years of free service expire?
Thank you
Yes it sounds excellent, I recently had a new XC60 T8 which had a glitch and could only be driven on battery mode, I thought 'on call' which rang at once from the button in the car would help me understand. No such luck! After 40minutes of a typical call centre saying they were very busy and would be with me soon I gave up and luckily was within hybrid range of home. Once at my place of safety I called again ... same result. Then tried from my landline same message then copped out after 1 hour.
Has anyone got a positive report on this process that seems to be run by Allianze Insurance from London, though a French company? My service manager suggested that they normally respond quickly and have properly experienced/skilled people.
