I have just bought a 97 S40 T4. The car drives well 80,000 miles FSH but there is no great acceleration. The turbo comes in gradually at about 3000rpm and has not got much punch. I have taken it to a local volvo dealership and had it tested and the only thing they can suggest is a new ecu for £495 ! Has anyone suffered a similar problem?

See if there is any software upgrades avalible for the car.
They are kind of on the sluggish side like that but not that bad.
