What are the symptoms.
I've had a little experience with these things, replaced mine twice.

had same problem with 940 turbo.
eventually found out that the float in the top of the fuel tank was the problem.

Sorry to dig this back up, but I was looking to purchase a 1993 940 (non turbo) and the current owner says that the gas gauge does not work. I'm assuming its that $140 fuel sending unit. If so, how difficult is this to install? Do I need to drain the gas tank? Drop the tank all together? Any input would be appreciated
