Not sure what actual vehicle I drive. Owner's Manual is for 960 (dated 1996). Manual printed in 1995. Vehicle manufactured October 1995. Insurance companies always ask if it is an SE. does it have a sunroof, immobilizer etc. It is more expensive to insure a 1995 model than 1996 model but insurance companies here in Sydney go by manufacture date rather than "compliance" or year model date.
Engine type: I know it is 6 cylinder automatic but is it the B6304S or B6304G engine? Cubic capacity is apparently 2.92 because it is labelled as 3 Litre 24 valves. Presumably the VIN number and manufacture date would distinguish whether 304S or 304G engine made in Sweden. Not sure of the relevance of 964 or 965 or 960SE for models sold in Australia.
I do know it is a great car which depreciates each day but I wouldn't want to sell it!
Any ideas/solutions? Thanks Roger Howard

Most of the time if it was a 960SE it would say on the rear of the car.The terms 964 refer to a 960 4 door and 965 a 960 5 door wagon. The sticker on the hood should tell you if it is a 6304S or 6304G.Yes they were great cars and will run for ever if maintained properly.

Also 10/95 would be a 96 model year.

Many thanks. Still looking under hood but it is early in morning. It's just a simple 960 with everything! Regards Roger
