How do you replace the Cabin Air\Pollun Filter on a 1999 S70 Volvo GLT? Also fan is intermittet, A\C button orange light and Re-circ button orange light blink for about 4 seconds and the fan stops, what causes this? thx Dred.
First to replace the pollen filter open the hood. Then look on the left side of the car at the bottom of the windsheild. There is a black plastic peice. There is T-25 screws that screw it to the body.Remove the 2 screws all the way to the left and lift up on the cover and you should see the cover. Then just replace the filter.
Second Most of the time that means the blower motor and resistor are bad.The blower motor is pulling to many AMPS and then the A/C module shuts the blower motor down.
I found it on the right side under the black plastic cowl cover. If you remove all the torx screws and wiggle the lip near the window you can slide the cover from the window track, then gently bend the corner from under the fender you can raise the cowl enough to reach in an remove the assembly with the filter. If you get a non Volvo replacement it will not have the plastic edging, but works just fine and is only $20. thanks again, Dred.
