I have an S 60 T5 and the drivers electric window will not operate correctly.
It trys to go down, but stops after about 50mm (2 inches) or travel. It is not jamming, the problem is electrical.
The dealer has indicated that a new drivers door control is required. The cost of this unit is rather high given that it contains 2 circuit boards and some swithces.
Does anyone know where I can get circuit boards for this control, perhaps from a wrecker or a supplioer of electrical components.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

If you get a switch assy. it has to be programed to the car. That is another reason it is so expansive. It controls more than just the window.

Thanks Tech

Still think that $700 is a lot of money to pay for a switch to control the window.

Must be a cheaper alternative out there somewhere.

I hear you but that is what happens when computers are networked together. It also controls the interior lights the passenger side window.Basically it is a computer thats why it is so expensive.
