Just had a new Alpine CDA-9855 MP3/WMA CD receiver and i-pod control harness installed in my 2001 V70 XC. Anybody have an idea how I can get the steering wheel audio controls to work with this unit? Also noticed on my way home that I had a warning light to check the SRS Airbag (Yikes), did not have that warning before the install, any ideas?

Thanks

The steering wheel controls are lost forever.

On there cars you can't just install a radio and go anymore.
The factory radio is part of the Computer Network of the car.
You will need to have software downloaded into the car to tell the car the radio is missing and it will reroute the signal. Then it will no longer be a part of the Network.

Aaaahhhh... So, the love-love-hate relationship begins... with the new generation cars...

JK.

Don't you just feel like yelling at the ICE-specialist who insisted that installing new ICE won't interfere with the car's original setup.
