Hello!

I am posting this message today with the hope that someone can help me diagnose a problem on my 10'000 Mile, 2004 V70R. I feel small stutters and very light cut out with the engine when accelerating gently in 4th and 5th gear (Auto Transmission) at highway speeds...

Tried changing the spark plugs but to no avail. Could it be the ETM (electronic throttle module)? Are these the symptoms? My volvo dealer is taking my car in on monday to check it for faults, but we already plugged the car onto the Vadis system at another Volvo dealer in Germany and found no major faults.

Any help would really be appreciated. It's a silly problem but it's driving me nuts!

Thanks, All the best, Moody

Try cleaning the throttle body and see if it helps.
You have the new throttle body setup. It does not have a module as part of the throttle body. They very rarely go bad on the 2002 and newer cars.

Thank you very much Tech, I will get that checked out. Are you quite confident the problem is cleaning the throttle body? I will let you know in a little less than a week if your advice paid off

Thanks again.

All the best,

Moody
