Hi all,
I'm new to this so please be gentle with me

I have managed to get a hold of a spare remote for my car and I tried to reprogramme it using the method on this forum. Turn key 5 times and then press button on the fob. The thing is when I turn the ignition key for the fifth time and leave it on the red light on the dash flashes really quickly. I thought it was supposed to stay lit until I had pressed the button on the fob, and then flash.
Am I doing it wrong or is that what's meant to happen?

I'll be grateful for any replies

It might flash fast till you hit the button then stay solid for a minute then flash fast again.

hi andy i have the same problem i put 2 new batteries in the remote it worked for a week then stopped when i programme it now the dashboard light flashes then stops but it still doesnt work i will keep trying if i succeed i will let you know micky

Still no luck.
I'm going to change the batteries in it tomorrow, just to be sure. I'll have another go and see how it goes.

It was the batteries, replaced them with new ones today and got it programmed.
I could have saved myself a lot of swearing if I had put in fresh batteries in the first place
