I have an ivory colored 2001 Volvo S60 with "black" side molding, and I don't like the contrast.

I'm noticing the newer S60s have painted molding to match the body, and I really like that look.

Anyone know where to go for replacement molding, and how easy the modification would be? I checked the links on the forum home page and none of the offered the body parts I need.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Mine is a 2002. I would like to do the same. I think I asked this question earlier on this forum and no one had an answer. I think I.m going to contact the local Volvo dealer and see if they have it. I'll let you know what I find out.

What about to detache them and let them pain in the colour you want. The same way as other aftersale car body parts?

They have a finish on them that is not smooth. I don't think you could get paint to stick to them easily. I thought of doing the same thing but was afraid that I would end up ruining them.
