I have a 90 740 turbo wagon. It will start and sputter then when it warms up it dies. I put a new feul pump in and nothing has changed. I'd like to get this car fixed, but I can't keep dumping money into it.
It could be many things first i would look at the engine speed sensor. It is located on the block by the top of the transmission if the sheilding is cracked replace it.It could also be your coolant temp sensor.Or the mass flow sensor. There is also an ignition module on the drivers side under the hood mounted on the inside of the fender that could be bad it is about 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inches tall with a black plug connected to it I forget the name of it sorry.Try to check those things out.
