Hello, I recently purchased a used 1998 V70 wagon in good condition, with the following problems:

The car was e-tested and it passed with flying colours, however, the Emission System Service light is always on. Does it need resetting or do i need to have the car diagnosed for $100 from a volvo dealer?

The other thing is that I have noticed a drop of oil every other day on my driveway, and this seems to be coming from a transmission seal just above the four bolts that hold the oilpan.

Should it be replaced, or does one live with the slow drip?

Thanks from Toronto!

Is it just a SERVICE LIGHT or CHECK ENGINE light?

You can live for a little with the drop every day but keep checking the oil and make sure you don't run it low.
