Hi,

Just replaced the exhaust manifold and CAT on my 10v 850 and have been left with a clicking noise when accelerating over 2000rpm. This noise/frequency increases with revs. I used pre-owned but reconditioned Volvo parts which are guaranteed. I have removed and re-assembled a couple of times but with no luck.

The noise is driving me mad. The only thing I can think of is that I accidentally sheared off one of the original bolts on the manifold and it wasn't replaced - will this make any difference?

Thanks

David

Sounds like that is what it is an exhaust leak at the exhaust manifold.I would say it would be coming from where the manifold meets the engine.Did you use new gaskets when you did the job?

Yep, new gaskets used all the way through. So I guess that my best bet is to re-assemble yet again?!

You might want to make sure all the nuts are tightened all the way.If they are you might have to remove it again and make sure all the surfaces are really clean before reinstalling it.
