The backup lights on my 1993 240 do not work. Tested bulbs and they are good. All fuses in box are good. Is there another fuse location? Anyother possible causes?

Thanks

There is a neutral safety switch by your shifter assembly that goes bad. That is most likely your problem.

I am having intermittent backup light problems and I am suspecting a dirty or worn switch. It is a 1993 240 automatic. My question is how do I access the switch? I cannot see how to get the cover off of the shifter assembly. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
