Car has 116k on it with a full main dealer service history and, until very recently, all was fine.

MPG has dropped and it seems less responsive so I took it for diagnostics. EGR valve is stuck open and there is turbo underboost, presumably as a side-effect of the stuck EGR valve.

Are there any step-by-step guides for this model ?

Nothing I have found on YouTube or elsewhere details EGR removal for the D3 and although I am pretty handy, I wouldn't tackle it without some guidance.

The plan is/was to remove the EGR and cooler, chemically clean them, dry thoroughly and reassemble, clear the fault codes and cross fingers...

Suggestions appreciated.

I had a turbo underboost code on my 2008 v50 2.0 d4, that turned out to be a broken wire on the intake air pressure sensor, so worth checking
