Need a dipstick for a 93 850. Bought it without it. Need just the stick. Not the tube. Anyone know of a match for another car, that would work. Can't find one, new or used, anywhere.
Thanks
Some people just don't care when they sell them.
Some cars take 5.5 quarts
Some cars take 6.0 quarts
Thats why there is different dipsticks. One is red and the other is like orange.
The red should take 5.5 and the orange should take 6.0 quarts.
But I think there is still like 4 different ones.
You might have to buy the tube to get the dipstick.
You don't want to have the wrong dipstick in there and not have the proper reading for the oil.
The dealer will be able to tell you by the engine# and a # on the old dipstick if someone srill has it.Sometimes the plastic will just break of the top and someone wants to order a new one most of the time they will need the # off the old dipstick.
Yes you are correct. On your car if the trans dipstick is missing you should not loose trans fluid.
On some of the cars they have very short dipstick tubes on the trans.
I got it!
Went to the dealer....$25 !! But at least I know it's the right one.
he aasked me for the engine id number, which can be found... on the timing belt cover? Why would an important number be on a plastic cover that could have been replaced?
Thanks for all the help.
