I love "Little Red". I used her for delivering when I owned a florist. I closed about five years ago to take care of my mother and she really wasn't driven much since then. Actually, she sat idle for a couple of years. I need her again. I bought a new battery and tires and put a little gas in her but she wouldn't start. Put a new fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pump relay and off we went. But, when she warmed up, when I stopped at a light she shut off when I tried to go forward. She'll go in reverse but when I try to go forward she'll shut off. Sometimes I can push the gas pedal really fast repeatedly and she'll creep along for a little ways and then suddenly take off like she's supposed to. When I slow down to turn she wants to die on me and I have to coax her to pick up again. If I have to stop at a light, I put her in neutral and then throw her in drive and start pumping fast and hold my breath until she picks up. Do I still have a fuel issue? Vacuum? Please tell me it's not her transmission. I know I neglected her but I'm trying to make up for it now. Thanks for your help.
