I recently blew the engine on my 2013 volvo s60 t5. I took it to my mechanic and he ordered a 2012 s60 t5 engine. He’s having trouble getting the 2012 one to work. He says it will start for about 5 seconds and then turn off. Crank and cam sensor engine codes are coming up and he said he’s already changed both of those. my mechanic says it’s troubles with the ecu and computer. what do you guys think? any possible solutions?

If you didn't have any issues with the ECU before when using the original engine, I'm not sure why the ECU would go bad now with the newer engine. Unless the ECU is not recognizing the new engine? Might be best to let a dealer mechanic have a crack at it, maybe just to diagnose the issue and check the crank position.
