Hello all! I've got a 1992 Volvo 240 Automatic with 200,000 + miles that we bought a couple of months ago. The car easily passed emissions test at time of purchase.

Now the car runs pretty good for about an hour or so and then stalls out. If we let it cool off overnight it will run again the next day.

Today it started throwing engine code 113 (Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or rich)

Shortly after we bought the car the engine light came on and it has given us the engine code 241 (EGR system flow too low). Perhaps due to a gummed up EGR or bad EGR Valve but this wouldn't cause the vehicle to quit running after awhile would it???

It used to only run for about 20 minutes so we replaced both fuel pumps, plugs, wires, Distributor cap and rotor, and fuel filter and that appeared to fix the problem but now it is dying again after what seems to be longer periods of time.

I'm thinking maybe the O2 sensor needs to be replaced.

Thoughts?

Many thanks!
