:cat: Hi there everybody.

About a year ago, a young Australian and young New Zealander teamed up and went to an American Resort for work. While there, they robbed a bank. Complete with their English accent, wore the company uniform, wore their name tags the whole nine yards. Fortunately the police had no trouble arresting them and now they are in jail. We thought that they were bad enough and stupid enough. But, they have been outclassed. This article appeared in our local news service:

A birthday present mailed to a young English woman in Christchurch has landed her in jail and ruined her plans to start a new life in New Zealand.

Twenty-six-year-old Lynsey Reader asked a friend in Britain to send some cocaine to her for her birthday. She has now been sent to prison for three months after pleading guilty to importing two envelopes of the drug.

The court was told Reader and her partner arrived in New Zealand in January on two-year work visas and planned to seek permanent residence.

The judge told Reader she had been stupid and foolish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Under our legal system she will only have to spend about three weeks in jail. After that she will probably be deported.

She is lucky she did not do that in some Asian countries. She could have been executed instead.

Dumb, Dumber and Dumbest :crying:

Cocaine is a little bit too far up the ladder for us. Pot or something else like that would probably have brought a fine.

We're having major and serious problems with P at the moment.

In any event-she still would probably be deported after the custodial sentence is completed.

I dunno - we had a report over here about someone in NZ trying to syphon petrol from a campervan, and sucking on the sewage outlet by mistake - urban legend?
