I have recently had a problem removing my wheel from my S60. It has standard Volvo fitment locking wheelstuds. What happend was the top part of the stud( the part where the adaptor fits) snapped clean off the stud. This then give me no way of undoing the stud without a fightand no way would I have been able to do it on the side of the road had I had a puncture. I replaced all the locking studs with accessory parts. Since this happened a freind at work with a XC90 has had exactly the same thing happen to his, Volvo are now replacing them under warranty. May I advise anybody to check there wheelnuts(studs) carefully whenever they have there wheels removed and DO NOT allow tyre fitters to use airwrenches on them.

Happy Motoring

Phil

Those things are always bad than good. I typically allow them to use those airwrenches to take the bolts out, but not when putting them in...
(It's not the best thing, but then again, the workers are not fond of sweating just to take the bolts out in the first place either...

So....
