:blush: please can anybody save me from pulling my hair out...? whenever i place a cd into the cd player it defaults to "error" message

I am having a similar problem. I put a CD in the player and when it finished, the player gave me the CD error message. I cannot eject the CD. I can put another CD in and it plays, but every once and awhile it kicks out to the radio. Can anyone help with advice on how to get the CD out of the player?

for fast hands, are you cds home made? if so, it might be that your stock unit can't play that brand of cd. it happens. my 850 is very particular as to what type of aftermarket brand it plays. also, try cleaning the lens. for not technical, the only way that i can see is to remove the unit and take off the cover to retrieve the cd. now, i have not taken one of those units apart, only the unit in my 850 so i can't tell you the ins and outs of the procedure. both of you should post these questions in the audio/video forum for more technical members to see.
