Help!

My bushings are worn out on the linkage of my 122s automatic
transmission. (BW35) I have looked in all of the parts catalogs and
can't find any such animal being made anymore. It is about six inches
long with a 1" hoop on the ends. It looks kind of like a dog bone. I
have been driving around with snap ties holding it all together but
it's pretty sloppy. Can anyone help?

I also experienced the automatic transmission linkage problem on my 122s. I called several parts places and could not come up with the bushing or even the whole linkage. One place claimed to have it, but nothing ever came in the mail.
So finally, I went down to my blacksmith shop and built my own. It is about twice as good as the original (all metal) and easier to deal with.
