I have a HU-803 in my Volvo V70 which has started to display CD ERROR and refuses to play or eject a CD. Does anyone know of a cheap way of getting this resolved? Is it easy to do myself or would you recommend I seek professional help?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Nathan

I'm having the same problem. It will try to play a CD but then says CD-ERROR. It also sounds like it wants to eject but cant. I can't load any others in either. It was like this when I bought it so I don't know whats in there.

I've may have found a resolution.

It appears that promotional CD's are slightly thinner than normal CD's and get trapped in the mechanism and foam inside.

I was exceptionally lucky. I used another CD to separate the foam openning and pressed eject and managed to get the fault CD out of the unit.
