:cat: Hi there mikegsg9.

If your car is brand new-I would definitely try and get a garage or carport at least.

When I sold new cars many years ago-the cars which had been garaged all their lives definitely got a better trade in price.

The atmosphere definitely does deteriorate the finish on your car.

Various waxes and detailing products will provide a certain amount of protection from the atmosphere-but the sun and atmosphere is oxidizing everything you use on the car.

If you intend to keep the car for several years-it will look better longer with a bit of protection.

That's my two cents worth. :)

Cheers :right:

Carports are fairly in-expensive to build. Even though i've never priced one at work ( hardware store ) they shouldn't be too bad..

and undercoat the car! and it'll last you forever.

I'll definitely NOT park the car under the sun 24-7-365...

Mainly because I live in a hot, hot place...
(OK, not desert-hot to the point it melts your rubber but it's hot)

Your last line of defence is a good coat of wax.

If garage or carport is unavailable, car cover is the next best thing.
