So long as you ensure that the company is financially secure (one measure of this is its rating by agencies such as Standard & Poors for instance) then online private motor & home insurances are generally very good and generally offer savings over other buying methods.

Do check out the main coverage details & limits and check what assistance you get in the event of an accident - look for recovery service if the car is undriveable, a courtesy car whilst yours is being repaired and free legal representation to recover uninsured losses/damages. Also check the excess/deductible and what cover you get for glass/windshield.

When the time comes to make a claim, you wouldn't want to be wait 6 months just to get a reply that they've just received your claim form. :P

Online existence is good for the customer, but in times of emergency, nothing beats a face you can actually talk to.

Yah, I should insure my self to a well known company., the site has known companies so I was able to compare price and choose whats best.

personally i prefere to be face to face when dealing with insurance issues. i'll never have any kinda of insurance where i cant walk in the office and talk to my agent. the online insurances are easier but when you file a claim you'll run into problems with quality of customer service
