Drives: 2006 V50, T5 AWD, 6 speed, 1971 P1800
I have a 2006 V50 T5, AWD, Sport Package with the 6 speed manual trans.
It makes a clunking sound when shifting into most gears when going down
the street. If stationary and you put the clutch in and put in gear it does
not make this sound, only when under load. I wonder if others have heard
this? I am going to ask the dealer about this. I've always had manual cars
and never had a noisy shift like this. You don't hear it with the windows up,
but with the windows down, and no radio on you can then hear it.

Yep, same clunky noise. I only hear it a low speeds, when shifting. It may happen at all speeds, and I just don't hear it because of the speed. Volvo service, of course, "didn't hear it".
