i feel like i'm going crazy! for the life of me i can not find a CD player for my 850!

Where have you looked so far? I know there are a lot of head units for the 850. Have you searched on Crutchfield?

Any single DIN head unit will fit. Only double DIN units have install issues.

all you would have to do is get a mounting bracket and you could install any aftermarket cd player.
