:cat: Good morning everybody.

http://www.cyclotoolmakers.com/

The above American company makes hand polishers. It is like very expensive machinery. I don't mind paying for quality-but I would like to know if anybody in the forum has ever had an experiences of these polishers.

The prices are abour US$354.00 which is about NZ$590.00.

I wax my car several times a year. It is a virtual monument to Meguiars. Unfortunately, it takes me about five hours to clean and wax the car to a standard I like. (It doesn't help being the son of a jeweller either!!)

As it is likely to be the first and last polisher I'll ever need-I'd like to know in advance if anybody has any information they'd like to share with me.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers :right:

PLEASE, dont use a polisher just to wax the car. I know u want to save time, but its not good to use it like that.

Read this;
http://www.volvo-forums.com/index.php?show...778&hl=polisher

This might help too;

And dont forget the clay bar. Its time consuming, but worth it :beer:

:cat: Hmmm, I've never thought of dexterously and digitally recalibrating my car's libido levels back to zero using Meguiars. :P

It's an interesting concept. :lol:

I'll bring it up at the next committee meeting. I'm sure the secretary will have some interesting notes about it. :haha:

Cheers :right:

:cat: Hi there S69 R.

Thank you for your comments. I gave your thoughts and URL's a lot of thought.

Thankfully, your input gave me a course of action to test my feelings.

I just cleaned and waxed the car. Cleaning and drying was not a problem.

I used the last bit of the NXT Tech wax creme and then started using the paste.

The paste is a far superior presentation than the creme in my opinion. It is harder to put on and therefore, much thinner. Obviously far less wasteage.

The bonnet, roof and boot lid would have been very quick with the polisher.

However, I decided to analyse what actually takes most of my time. Without your thoughts thank you-I would never have realised that I spend hours polishing trim cavaties, valleys, fiords, roof drains, door handle upper recesses, all the contours of the front bumper area, the windscreen sill area and all the cavaties of the boot area. I could not use the polisher in these areas.

That took the last four hours to do!! :haha:

Now to shower, shave and shampoo and I don't need a polisher to do that!! :lol:
