I have just had my C70 serviced, and the dealer has mentioned that there is some play, but nothing major in the front near side Anti-roll bar link. Do anyone know what this is

I purchased my 1999 C70 but based on my knowledge of car the dealer is talking about the anti-sway bar which helps the car corner (improves handling). On my 850 the end bushing was worn and it was an ez fix ~$28 at my local tire shop.

My '99 with 70k on it had to have the driver's side suspension arm replaced due to wear on the ball joint. I had allot of noise from the front end during slow drives on bumpy roads. The is a common problem with this car. It will cost about $500 to have all the bushings replaced (which wear quickly) and the needed sway bar parts. Car is much quieter now that the arm and the bushings have been replaced.

They are talking about the sway bars and the swar bar links.

go to quickbrickmotorsports and buy SLATERS's heavy duty sway bar end links.
