Been a Volvo driver sine about '70 having P1800, (3) 164s, 144, 264, 760, 244 and currently a 940 that I just had gone over stem to stern mechanically and body restoration to the tune of about $7,000. Yeah, over the edge but love the car and it only has 173,000 kilometers on it.

Been looking for another car, getting that mid-life crisis. Wifey who loves Volvos would rather I did not get another car but is more in favor of a Jag I looked at than me getting another Volvo. Her only other car she likes to drive is a Jag. I've been researching Lincoln Mark VIIIs, post '96. Have not found a Jag that has been quite what I want but found a Mark that has been well maintained. Also, happened on a white 960. Been going back and forth mentally between the Mark and the 960 and as much as the emotional part of me wants the Mark, I'm sold on the 960. Darn, Volvos are a curse. Even a midlife crisis can not overcome that Swedish disease.

The 960 has 1 major flaw and that is the controls for the driver side seat do not work at all and the panel holding the switch is smashed. Other than that looks straight and aside for the leather being pulled from the driver door panel and a few minor things the car is in good order. Event the leather on the driver's seat is just starting to show the Volvo wear. The only other issue seems to be that the car has more rattles than my 960. Mostly noticable going over bumps. My 940 is very tight and not a single rattle can be heard under any condition.
