Hi Jason here from the uk..

this seems to be the only website around witch is useful so ill give it a go..

Just got my self a upgrade from a 1.8i S40 to a C70 t5 auto..

the thing goes like a rocket

But a few prob with it...

1. The expansion tank for the coolant

When driven for over 10 min i have coolant dripping from the bottom of the tank of the jeberlie clip holding the pipe on.. Now iv taken the clip and pipe off clean them up and installed back on.. for short trips it fine but after once again 20 min or so of driving it's dripping again??? could it be a prob with the tank of pipe..(poss when heated and under presser it expands and drips ?? new hose to replace ??)

2. got a sc 901 cd player.. code needed been to volvo got a code and it dont work.. poss a change in player seeing my car dont have DPL (no center speaker)

3. Drivers side window blowing out..

wind noise at speed

4. SRS light on always

Apart from that its a dream :P

Any help would be grateful

Also and good cheap bhp increase tips?? new box K&N air filter ect....

P.s I had a 2002 S40 before and they had some nice clear twin lights.. can you get anything like them for the c70??

Thanks alot

Jason

1- Assuming there is coolant in the tank when cold and not leaking (in other words the tank doesnt have a crack), myguess would be what u thought, maybe the hose is going bad.

2- I'd call the dealer

3- A seal problem? Either that or the window is not totally on the track?

4- Call the dealer!!

BTW, looks good...and clean!

Hi Jason. Nice Car!

Further to my friend S60 R's good advice, you'll need to withdraw the stereo unit & write down the serial number. If the system has been replaced & Volvo didn't do the job then Volvo won't be able to give you the code without knowing the unit's serial number I'm afraid.

If Volvo confirm that the unit is not the original shown on their records, ask them to note the new serial number & security code against your car's details on their records and, of course, keep a note of the code in a safe place yourself i.e. not in the car!

Has one of the front seats been removed for repair/re-covering? That can trigger the SRS light. You'll need to get the fault code(s) read and then, once any fault has been rectified, get the code cleared.

Good luck.

Hi all thought ill just say that i took the car to volvo and got a few of the problems sorted out..

The dripping was stoped we think (not done long run yet) by once again hose of and a good clean and install correctly this time (apprently)

The CD code was re programed by the serial number of the cd player and now works

The main thing the SRS light ......

Well this was the code it came with 422 witch turned out to be a faulty Drivers Side Airbag and ouch it hurt

New bag and fittin cost me £365....

last things to sort out is the window but now the cp player is back you cant hear it.

cheers for the help anyway

£365 for the airbag - ouch!

Glad it's sorted. Apologies for the delay - I've been out of the country since 1st July.
