Hi All,

I have a 2000 C20 HPT coupe - using the standard alam/immobiliser than came with the car.

Now when I lock the car using the remote, the lock knobs both go down on the doors. However, when I pull the door handle on the passenger side, the door opens!! (and the alarm starts). Tried it on the drivers side but the door is really locked.

Tried locking the door and leaving it for a while but the passenger door can still be opened from the outside. Please help - I can't lock the passenger side of the car!

Sounds like a fault with either the passenger door lock itself, or possibly the actuating rod to the lock has become detached in some way, so it's moving but not engaging the lock.

You could try very carefully taking the door lining out (do not tear the condensation barrier when peeling it off) & checking for a loose rod.

Hi what you have done is rested on the door push button and forced it past its stop! remove the door panel pull up the door knob thus resulting in resetting the central lock motor .hope this is of help
