Hi Everyone,
I would like to know what can be done about my wife's volvo XC90 AWD that stalled this morning on our way to bring her to the airport. The car had a similar acceleration problem that was 'supposedly' fixed 2 weeks ago by the dealer searvice dept. Today, the car literally stalled and had to be towed to Crown Volvo in Chapel Hill--they gave us a loaner car. It seems that other users have experienced problems similar to this with their XC90's, with a couple people having Volvo eventually buy the care back from them? We are both very concerned about this car and its reliability, which in our minds is just as important as the car's safety. We traded in her Honda of course to get this car as we are expecting and wanted a safe car for her and any children we hope to have. Please let me know if there is any advice or people to contact at Volvo with concerns reagarding this issue, or whether we may be able to trade it back in for another more reliable and safe car. I forgot to mention that the car had plenty of gas all of th times this problem occurred, and that the first episode was apparently fixed with a computer download.

My 2005 XC90 has recently been chugging, not sure how else to describe it and my car died to, but after it sat for a minute, restarted. Horrible hesitation problems. My husband was wondering if it was related to the extreme heat on the East coast.
We are taking the car into the shop Monday. |

My 2006 XC90 AWD is doing the same thing now after only 6,000 miles. We were also stranded last night due to a blown fuel pump fuse. After reading the postings on this forum, I am researching my state lemon. After three attempts to fix the problem the dealer has to buy back the car. I live in Alabama.
How did you resolve your problem? Has anyone else had this problem? |
