I only have 100 miles so I can't really post anything yet but I would be interested in hearing what your MPG is, type of driving, and engine?

About 26-27 mpg (USG) in mostly city driving (uncongested traffic), with about 20% low speed (max. 60-65 mph) two lane highway driving.

About 29 to a best result of 32 in long distance higher speed highway driving (up to about 85 mph).

48MPG on average - mixed driving country lanes to A roads. Commute to work is only 15 miles, and it takes a good 7 miles to get her up to running temperature.

25-30 in town 60-70MPG on Motorways.

S60 D5 -185

For Viper7, that's an average of 40 miles to the US gallon. Very impressive, shows the advantage of a diesel.

My owners manual says my tank is 18-18.5 gallon tank. I've only had my car for about a month, driving mostly in the city (not much gridlock here in Wichita, Ks). I've been getting about 350 miles before the gas light comes on (owners manual says 1.8 gallons left when light comes on) so I figure I'm getting about 22 mpg in the city. I'm using premium (91 octane) gas.

I just got over 31 mpg with a long run of smooth highway driving. That's a bit better than average -- the attendant may not have squeezed in as much as I usually do (filled up in NJ, so no self-serve), and I had fewer city miles than usual. I'm usually just around 30 with my highway trips, and roughly 22 mpg with the around town / highway traffic commuting mix. It's a manual with 40K on the odometer.

EdinDC: Is that with a 2.5T engine? What speeds were u traveling at to get 31mpg. I only have 200 miles on my car total and am averaging about 22 in 75% hwy and the rest city. I heard the car has to break-in first. If I can get 27 on the HWY I'd be happy.

No, it's not a turbo. Most of the trip was on a 65MPH highway, so I somewhere in that neighborhood (maybe on the outskirts of town, to be honest, but in any event not driving at a fuel-conserving 55.) Again, the more typical range for me, in mostly highway, is a shade below 30, and if I have a lot of urban miles before I start on a highway trip, I tend to see 25 / 26 (but that's not helpful info because I can't tell you what the percentages are, and what's "a lot of urban miles.")

I get about 22 around town in my 2001 T5, about 29 on the highway and about 24.5 in my 2002 S80 around town and over 30 on the highway. These are calculated from the on board computer, but they seem pretty close to what I have seen from the actual calculations.

2004 BASE S60 with a standard tranny gets me 27 MPG around town. 32 MPG highway at 75 MPH and 35 MPG at steady 55 MPH.
One thing nobody has mentioned is type of gas. When I got my car 3 1/2 years ago I ran hi test but read a very convincing internet post about why you don't need to. I switched to mid-range and can see absolutely no difference in performance but actually get better mileage

around 19mpg with aggressive driving, about 22 with gentle driving.

My daily commute is 7 miles, speed limit is 45, not too much traffic.

2002 S60 AWD Low Pressure Turbo - 17" wheels
54000 miles
Just took a 300 mile trip with lots of 65+ MPH driving using 87 octane gas

Got 26.5 MPH against the wind
Got 29.6 MPH with the wind

Both of these were based on the on-board computer's calculations.

Temp was in the 30's and 40's.
