Hi,

I'm new to this forum. I have a 2004.5 S40 SE. I'm looking for some information on the sound system in the car. It has a 6 CD changer and an AM/FM radio but is not the Premium sound option, i.e. it doesn't have Dolby.
Can anyone tell which HU model it is?

Secondly is there any way to connect to an analogue audio input any where into the system, for instance disconnection the radio or CD module and using the selectors to play an external audio source? From reading some of the postings it seems that most of the connections are fibre but I’m hoping that there is an analogue interface somewhere.

If anyone had this information at hand, pics or descriptions on how to get at the various modules in the system, I'd appreciate it.

hu_850 unit has dolby surround sound. and 6 disk changer.

trister, If you have a 2004.5 S40 2nd Generation, there is no analog input for the system. It is a Fibre optic MOST system.
