anyone have any suggestions of where i could find a relatively inexpensive rear spoiler for my 1996 volvo 960 wagon? anything helps! thanks!

Check out the spoiler on my red 91 940 wagon. It's rather conservative and it's sold by Volvo.....or maybe it was IPD. On the plus side, it fits...requires no drilling and has been on the car for ten years plus or minus a couple. All you need to do is paint to match your car. You can take a look at it in My Garage....like I said it's conservative and not at all flashly, but it is a spoiler. Oh, you also said it had to be inexpensive....I can't say how much it cost, but including paint it didn't break the bank.

where would you suggest getting it now? i've checked ipd's website a million times and i can't say its very friendly for my particular model and year. it's hard to find anything at all anywhere for my particular car. thanks for the reply btw

I may have gotten the spoiler from Volvo and not IPD. It's been so long ago I can't remember. Check with Volvo to see if there is one for the 960. If they don't list one ask about one for the 940 wagon it should be the same. I'll also check with my friend the auto body tech and see if there isn't a repoduction part out there.

I confirmed that I got the spoiler from my local Volvo dealer parts dept. I also spoke to a person that has seen a V70 station wagon spoiler used on a 940 and it would also fit the 960. Check out the V70 cars in "Members Garage" Look under ferbis, it's a white station wagon with a more fashionable spoiler. If you get one take pictures...I think it will look outragous.

thanks for your help... i'm looking into it right now and i contacted ferbis. i'll also contact volvo in a couple of weeks to see if they could help... it is so hard to find anything for my car! :wacko:
