Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum (just subscribed today :) ) and I got my V50 T5 in December 2005 (2005 model).

I was looking over the V50 maintenance schedule which came with the car and I couldn't find any referrence regarding the transmission fluid flush.

Actually, it is mentioned in the maintenance table as "Automatic transmission fluid level, check/adjust" activity with no indication when is supposed to be done and with a footnote which says "Check automatic transmission fluid level only if an external leak is identified. Volvo recommends changing automatic transmission fluid every 84,000kms only on vehicles used for towing or when a message displays in the Instrument Panel Text Window".

Does that mean that driving the V50 under normal conditions no transmission fluid flush is required EVER unless there is message in the instrument panel text window?

P.S. I live in Toronto, Canada, and drive in average 100km/day (almost 3,500km/month) half in the city, half highway almost never going above 2,500rpm (so gentle driving).
