:cat: Good evening Son of Israel.

:00000732: to Volvo forums.

:liebe011: for joining us.

From my experience of petrol fumes in a car-I brought a 1990 740 Turbo. The first time I filled the car with petrol-I noticed the smell of petrol fumes. It did not last long after I started to drive. I noticed it everytime I filled the car for about two months-then the smell disappeared spontaneously after each refuelling a full tank of petrol.

I don't know why it started-I don't know why it finished.

That is probably not all that much help to your situation-but at least you are not alone.

Cheers :right:

It is almost always a split hose going into the in tank pump fuel sender unit. It is located right behind the rear seat on the left side. There is an access panel that is held in by four bolts. My mechanic has replaced the hoses in 4 or 5 cars so far this year with the same problem.
