Hi There,

I have a Volvo 440 1.6i and at present I have central locking.

I have purchased a Remote Central Locking kit which is universal and can be fitted to any vehicle.

My problem is that I do not understand the wiring diagrams, i no what to do but there are 3 wiring diagrams and I dont no which one is suitable for my car so please could someone tell me which one it is.

1st diagram - Central Lock Motor ----------------------- Original Central Controller

2nd diagram - Central Lock Motor ----------------------- Car Alarm


3rd diagram - Central Lock Motor ----------Motor----------Car Alarm

Hi Billie.

Very difficult question to answer without seeing the kit & diagrams I am afraid.

However, if your 440 doesn't already have (broken) remote central locking then it probably doesn't have an alarm or an immobiliser. Therefore the simplest of the 3 wiring diagrams is most likely the right one to use.

You could also find that none of them are 100% appropriate - could be a case of using the simplest one plus a bit of common sense on top!
