Hi,

New member here. I have a Volvo 460SE 1992 and the radio requires resetting. I have been given the code by the local dealer (I assume the code is correct) but, when entered, the radio locks. The model of radio is VC602.

This is the order that I have followed, can anyone advise?:-

1) Switch on radio while pressing right arrow (radio shows word: Code)
2) Press 1
3) Press arrow until the correct number is selected
4) Repeat 2-3 until all numbers are correctly entered
5) Press 1 to confirm

After pressing this, the radio beeps once and Code < > is shown. The radio is then locked for an hour.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi,

This is the procedure i followed when after changing the battery:

Volvo VC 602
activating the code

Press and hold station increment button while turning the set on until a beep is heard from the speaker.

code entry

Press the P1 key when the display shows 'COD' and press the station increment key until you reach the first code digit. Press P1 again and follow the above procedure until the last digit has been entered and finally press P1 once more. Assuming the correct code has been entered the set will begin to operate.

deactivating the code

Press the station increment button while turning the set on. The display will show 'COD'. Enter the code and again press the station increment button. The display will show 'PROTECTION DEACT' and the radio will operate.
