Hi all,
How do I find out which ignition system I have on my '90 740GL? Also, are any of the electrical components (ECU, relays, etc.) compatible with that of a '92 740?
Thanks for any advice you could offer!

The parts might be the same.
If you have the Bosch system you will have a round coil.
If you have Regina you will have a square coil.

Did a search to resolve a problem I'm having and found this old thread. I'm having a fuel related issue on a '91 740. The car is dead, don't know how exactly....the story was filtered from the girl driving to the boyfriend then to me.

So, no fuel at the rail, jumped the relay and nothing. I go to get a fuel pump and they ask me which one. I didn't know there were two, but I didn't hear either. What are the chances that both are bad? All I know for sure is the car was using lots of fuel before it died.

And they ask me if it's the Regina system, but alldata shows a Bosch and a Bendix, no Regina. I've determined that I've got the Bendix, and based on this thread can I assume the Bendix system is the Regina?

Thanks
